Right in the middle of Covid-19 lockdown, on 4 May 2020, Dr Grant Davidson commenced his new role as Chief Executive of the Network.
Grant joins the Network from his previous role as the Chief Executive of Skills Active Aotearoa, the industry training organisation providing on-job training for over 6,000 trainees per year in sport, fitness, recreation, snow sports and performing arts. He joins us at a pivotal time for the health sector, and for rural healthcare professionals in particular.
Rob Olsen, who worked with us as our Communications and Membership Manager for 11 years left the Network at the end of May this year.
Linda is moving into this area of our work and, among other things, will be reviewing how we connect with our members and how we keep in touch with you.
We’ve also made a couple of changes to better reflect some of the work we’re involved in.
Our senior management team now consists of:
- Chief Executive – Dr Grant Davidson
- GM Membership Services – Linda Reynolds
- GM Advocacy – Marie Daly
- GM Workforce Recruitment – Jacinta Sanders
- Rural Health Careers Promotion Programme Manager/Executive Assistant – Esther Maxim
We’re currently looking to recruit a new Senior Communications Adviser to work with Linda to support our communications, media and marketing.
Another change to our team is that our Accountant, Judith Burnett, who’s also been with us for over 10 years, is retiring at the end of this month. We’re going to miss Judith and we’ll be wishing her every happiness in her retirement.
